Jarryd Bartle is your Reason Victoria candidate for Albert Park. Jarryd has a long history advocating for evidence-based public policy through his work as a consultant on dicey political issues surrounding 'sex, drugs and crime' as well as a defender of the most vulnerable as a criminal lawyer. Jarryd has advised government and not-for-profit organisations on the best methods to reduce drug and alcohol-related harms as well as to prevent violence in the community. Vested ideologies have hindered the ability of government to implement "what works" in reducing harms, Jarryd wants reason - not dogma - to shape the future of Victoria. Jarryd also works as a lecturer in criminal law at RMIT University, is a board member of Harm Reduction Victoria and is a frequent public commentator on hot-button political issues.
