Thanks for visiting our Fundraising Page for the QV1 Descent! A number of our GCS Managers from across the country heading over the wall and out of their comfort zone on a 160 m abseil on Perth's 4th highest building with some also undertaking the first zipline now added to the event. Our participation in this extreme activity is to raise funds & awareness for our nominated charity, CANCER COUNCIL WA. You can sponsor one of our amazing manager's with a donation by selecting them from a list when you donate or you can donate to the team. We appreciate your show of support as they represent the GCS Group in this thrilling challenge. Please leave a message of encouragement and select the donate button. All donations are tax deductible. Thanks for supporting our efforts and for your part in helping to raise money for this incredibly worth cause! The team GCS!

Did you know one Australian is diagnosed with cancer every 5 minutes? Since we commenced abseiling challenge and our fundraising for Cancer Council, over 12 thousand people have been diagnosed with Cancer. Every day, Cancer Council WA is funding cancer research, running cancer prevention programs and providing support to WA families affected by cancer to get us closer to a cancer-free future. Each year Cancer Council WA provides support to more than 32,700 West Australians impacted by cancer – including counselling, free transport to treatment, accommodation for country cancer patients receiving treatment in Perth, free wigs and turbans, and financial and practical assistance. In addition to much-needed support and their long-running prevention programs like SunSmart and Make Smoking History, Cancer Council WA is the largest independent funder of cancer research in the state – supporting local cancer researchers to find better ways to detect, prevent and treat cancer. None of this would be possible without community donations, and this is why GCS is proud to be raising money to help them continue this important work. Keep the donations coming!

We have around 2.5 weeks left until the biggest abseiling event in WA and we have almost reached our new $20k stretch target with fundraising today reaching $17,990.00! Thank you for the fantastic support continuing to come in and encouraging comments. All money raised is going to Cancer Council WA which aims to minimise the incidence and impact of cancer on our community through important research, education and by providing people affected by cancer with support to enhance their quality of life. An incredibly worth charity. Have you seen the latest results for the team? We now have 4 of the 10 in our team on the additional extreme zip line activity and with a few short weeks to go we are aiming to get several more on this additional activity as well. If you want to help the others maybe share our link on email or social media and encourage a tax deductible donation. Keep the donations coming in and thanks for your support. We have already blown our target of $7500 out of the water as today, day 3 of the start of our fundraising, we reached $10,645! How amazing are you all for your support! A massive THANK YOU to all those who have donated so far, your words of encouragement and funny jibes are inspiring. We are still working on increasing the overall donation as each team member has to achieve an individual contribution in donations of $750pp, so we wont stop until we are up on the roof in 36 days time and will work to keep the donations coming in. This year the charity event also added an additional challenge of a zip line from the building and the first 30 people to achieve $1500 in donations get to do this. The GCS team proudly has our first representative for the zip line and the first person supporting the Cancer Council WA charity, our Group Managing Director Enzo Gullotti. We hope to have a few others follow our fearless leader head down on the wire also! Thanks for your show of support and we will keep you updated.
