Donations will go to the ever-fantastic-and-effective ASRC.

Update 25-10-17: Thank you all for donating so generously! Four days to go, I've run over 700k in training - very excited.

Story: as I got home from running my first half marathon recently, I became peeved that the word "half" was in the title. If they had called it a "doozy", I might have let it go.

So I picked the soonest marathon that should be possible, 29 Oct, and have my fingers firmly crossed that I'll be able to stumble over the line.

If you donate, your generosity will transform a silly idea into something beautiful. Feel free to share this page with friends. Thanks!

I want to thank everyone for donating so generously to ASRC.

Today I ran the marathon. After six months of training, I was hoping for a time under four hours. That was not to be when my left knee gave up early in the race, but I ploughed on, eventually limping the last 17k, cheered through my final lap by Sarah (Thank you!). Thank you all for backing me. Had I been running only for myself, I think I would have given up when the pain from the injury really set in.

Thanks again for your donations!
