Donations will go to the ever-fantastic-and-effective ASRC. Update 25-10-17: Thank you all for donating so generously! Four days to go, I've run over 700k in training - very excited. Story: as I got home from running my first half marathon recently, I became peeved that the word "half" was in the title. If they had called it a "doozy", I might have let it go. So I picked the soonest marathon that should be possible, 29 Oct, and have my fingers firmly crossed that I'll be able to stumble over the line. I want to thank everyone for donating so generously to ASRC. Today I ran the marathon. After six months of training, I was hoping for a time under four hours. That was not to be when my left knee gave up early in the race, but I ploughed on, eventually limping the last 17k, cheered through my final lap by Sarah (Thank you!). Thank you all for backing me. Had I been running only for myself, I think I would have given up when the pain from the injury really set in. Thanks again for your donations!
