Frontier Services is a charity and national agency that was inspired by the pioneering work of John Flynn (the man on the $20 note) in 1912, who visited and supported people living in the inland of Australia. Outback Links Community Trips take groups of volunteers with varying skills to work on remote farming properties throughout Australia, providing not just practical work but helping to tackle loneliness and isolation by offering friendship and support. The Rural Hero grant will target farms in the Gawler Ranges, South Australia, helping to address the cost and planning required to reach remote farming communities.
