The proceeds of the 16th ISRAELI FILM FESTIVAL IN WOLLONGONG will go towards "Find a Cure for Chloe Saxby and Vanishing White Matter Disease". This page has been set up for our friends who cannot attend the festival but would still like to make a donation. Professor Orna Elroy-Stein, Department of Cell Research & Immunology at TEL AVIV UNIVERSITY is one of only two researchers in the world actively working on a cure for VMW. She has had some encouraging breakthroughs in her research recently. Her small team are testing USA Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approved compounds with some positive results; however, expanding the project to speed up progress will come at a cost of approximately AUD$2.6 million with the aim of bringing clinical trials forward to save children living with VWM disease.
