It's that time of year again - time for me to get moving in May.
I have chosen to stretch myself just that little bit more each week to support a great cause.
For more than 40 years Arthritis Queensland has been helping people living with the pain of arthritis.
Arthritis is the most common chronic disease in Australia and it is not just something you get as you get older.
Anyone, of any age, can be diagnosed with one of the 120 types of arthritis.
I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when I was 9 years old.
My hope is that in the near future no one, specially not little kids, has to live with the pain and debilitation of arthritis.
That's why for 28 days during May I have committed to challenging myself to:
- walk around the city gardens during my lunch break every work day
- walk home from work at least once a week (about 7 km)
- walk home from Stones Corner every other week day (about 2 km)
- do reformer pilates every Saturday morning.
Please support me by making a donation to help me reach my goal of $500.
Last year my goal was $300 and together we raised $810.
Let's see what we can do this year!
Your contribution may be small or large. It all makes a difference.
