Thanks for visiting our Fundraising Page for Luke Batty Foundation Trek Larapinta!
We are humbled by the opportunity to spend six days with Rosie Batty. We passionately believe Rosie is an amazing person making tangible changes and a significant difference broadening awareness within our communities surrounding domestic violence and the specific challenges faced by our indigenous women and children.
We support Rosie in her hard work as there is no room in our society to accept the physical, verbal, emotional, psychological, or financial abuse used to intimidate, control or dominate another person and to cause family members to be fearful. By participating in the Larapinta walk we are in our small way helping raise awareness and contributing funds to help eradicate domestic violence.
You can sponsor us and leave a message by selecting the donate button above. In addition to one off donations, we will also be hosting a movie event in late July. Details will be circulated once confirmed.
A message from Rosie Batty:
“I am absolutely thrilled to be leading what will be a deeply moving and spiritual walk. This part of the world is very special to me because I am passionate about learning from women and children in Aboriginal communities and how family violence is impacting on their lives too.
I feel a deep sense of connection with these women and their land. They share the lived experience of family violence and the pain it causes. They share my pain. And I am deeply moved by theirs.
This fundraising opportunity will open your eyes to some of the most beautiful nature Australia has to offer, and will also help to give the women and children a voice in these amazing communities a voice that can be heard through the support of the Luke Batty Foundation.”
Making a difference ~ super effort!
