Thanks for visiting my Ride for Chloe Fundraising Page.

Later this year I will be riding my bicycle from Melbourne to Wollongong to raise money for a young lady by the name of Chloe Saxby. Chloe is a 7-year-old girl suffering from a very rare condition; Vanishing White Matter Disease. There are 172 reported cases across the globe, and there is no cure.
 
VWM is a devastating genetic, degenerative, terminal brain disease that affects mostly children. Symptoms generally appear between the ages of two and six years old in children who were previously developing normally.
 
In a very short period, it causes the inability to walk, talk and eat, leading to premature death often before reaching teenage years.

For my friends in the USA, we will be organizing an event here in Portland, Oregon over the Summer to raise funds, so keep an eye out for those details.
