Law Access assists some of the most vulnerable people in WA, who would otherwise be unable to obtain legal assistance. We receive requests for assistance from all over the State, and in all areas of the law, and match those who will most benefit from legal assistance, with generous lawyers willing to provide pro bono assistance. Law Access allows scarce pro bono resources to be utilised in the most effective way possible, benefiting both applicants and the profession. Law Access has 4 part-time staff and demand for our service keeps growing. Since January 2017 we have experienced a 17% increase in applications for assistance. We rely on leveraging in kind support from generous pro bono lawyers who take our referrals as well as the Law Society of WA, The UWA Law School and our volunteers and secondees to meet the demand for our service Your donation is vital to help us to assist more disadvantaged Western Australians.
