The event is in aid of ovarian cancer research at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. Ovarian cancer (also known as the silent killer) is a disease that is generally detected too late to successfully treat and there is no early detection test for the disease.
The Emer Casey team are passionate about changing this! Over the last 8 years the Emer Casey Fun Run has donated more than $180,000 to support Peter Mac.

Funds donated to the My cause Gift Fund will be disbursed to Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
