Welcome to the APOD Fundraising Page for the 2023 APOD Walk for a Veteran! We are delighted that you've taken the time to visit us. As an organisation founded by veteran families, for veteran families, we are immensely proud to support this event and the remarkable charities involved. Over the past three years, the APOD team has successfully raised over $7,000 through our active participation in this event. On Saturday 29th July 2023, we are eagerly looking forward to joining forces with the community of soldiers, veterans, first responders, and their families as we walk along the Adelaide coastline. We invite you to join our team! By clicking the 'Join this group' button below and providing your details, you can become an integral part of our walk. We will reach out to you closer to the event date to coordinate a meeting point and share other essential information. Alternatively, if you prefer, you can show your support by sponsoring the APOD team and leaving an encouraging message. Simply select the 'Donate' button above. Rest assured, all donations made to Walk for a Veteran Inc are fully tax deductible. As the official partner of the Department of Veterans' Affairs, APOD works diligently to connect current and ex-service personnel, along with their families, to businesses that recognize their remarkable service. These businesses aim to express their gratitude by offering discounts and benefits. The primary goal of the walk is to raise awareness about the physical and mental health challenges faced by military and emergency services personnel, as well as their families. By participating, you can help draw attention to these crucial issues and contribute to the overall well-being of our heroes. Once again, we extend our heartfelt appreciation for supporting our ongoing efforts to raise funds and awareness in support of veterans and emergency services workers. Your contribution plays a vital role in making a positive impact in their lives. Together, we can make a difference. Thank you!

We're thrilled to welcome some amazing new members to our team: Stephen Toon, Aaron Toon, Jerry Toon, Angela D, Adam Green, Kirstine Lackey, Kate D, and Randall J. Your support for the cause is truly appreciated! At the time of posting this update, this incredible team has successfully raised over $4,100 to support our event charity partners. A big congratulations to all of you who have contributed donations towards this cause. We also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to every single person who generously donated to the team. Thank you! The APOD staff members will gather at Henley Square at 12 PM tomorrow Saturday, 29th July. We'll kick off with a BBQ lunch before setting off on the 14 KM trail leading to Seacliff. If any of you wish to walk the same route distance, you're more than welcome to join us. To all participants, we encourage you to capture as many photos as you can during your walk. Whether they are selfies, group photos, scenic shots, or even professional photos if you're bringing your camera, we'd love to see them! If you plan on sharing them on social media, don't forget to tag us @APODCommunity, as we'd be delighted to feature them on our page. The weather forecast for tomorrow predicts a mostly sunny day, with a slight chance of a shower in the southern suburbs. The temperature is expected to range from a minimum of 9 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 18 degrees Celsius. It looks like it's going to be a fantastic day for the walk! We hope to see all of you on the trail and perhaps at Seacliff SLSC at the end of the walk. Remember to stay warm, hydrated, and most importantly, stay happy!
