We are joining some friends to run (read: piggyback with Mamma!) for 5km along the Adelaide coastline to raise money for essential medical care for mothers and babies in South Sudan and Northern Uganda. Just $7 can treat a child for malaria or $50 provides a woman with pre- and post-natal care.
We will be do our best to channel the energy of the mums all over the world who have to walk long distances with their children to get basics such food, water, education or medical care!
The Sandy Running Festival is a fun run whose goal is to provide life-saving help and development to vulnerable mothers and children in remote South Sudan and Northern Uganda. All profits from the event will support Bright Futures Child Aid and Development Fund, and all the incredible work their organisation does to support maternal and child health projects in communities where preventable disease and complications still cut too many lives short.
Thanks for supporting our effort in raising money for this cause!
Go well!
