On the 25th November I’ll be walking 333kms to raise awareness and funds for melanoma. Sadly this year I lost my brother Matt to Melanoma, who has unfortunately left behind his 8 year old boy Nixon. I am from a family of 6 kids, and for me, losing one of my siblings has always been one of my greatest fears. Now my fear is reality. The loss of my brother has truly impacted me. There isn’t a day that I don’t clench my jaw and fight back the tears. The reason that I want to be a part of this walk is to raise money for research and to raise awareness around prevention. So much can be done to prevent melanoma, and I want to be a part of raising awareness so that no other family has to go through losing their loved one to this disease.
