Thanks for visiting my fundraising page for QV1 Descent 2019! If you haven't already heard I will be completing the highest single pitch building abseil in WA, but I need and would love to have your support to get down! By hitting the "donate" button you are helping not only myself but also the Cancer Council as my amazing charity that I have chosen to fundraise for. Why the Cancer Council? For me a wanted to pick something that personally has been a part of my world. I have lost both of my parents and my brother to cancer in the past five years and this is my way of honoring their fight and their memory and showing support to anyone that has had to battle through dealing with this disease. I would love your support to help others by donating to the Cancer Council whilst I put myself so far out of my comfort zone it's not funny. Mission accomplished. Thank you all for your support and donations. So far our tally is at $2,622 and is still increasing as people are making last minute donations over the next week. For anyone out there that has a charity they want to support, a reason to want to push beyond your own personal limits or something as important as showing your kids that you can do anything you put your mind to then talk to the crew at Adventure Out or Urban Descent. They did a stellar job of organising this event and between 103 participants so far over $112,000 has been raised to a variety of charities.

With 5 days to go before the big day I wanted to touch base and say thank you so much for your support of the Cancer Council and myself. The tally has now hit $2,173 and I'm hoping by Friday that I may be able to crack $2,500. I would certainly love to. So currently I'm being scheduled for Friday afternoon for the descent and I will have a confirmed time later this coming week. It was to be morning but they called me and asked me on Friday if I would move to the afternoon because "lots of people are worried about the wind in the afternoon". Oh well...… I figured the wind is the least of my worries when I'm 160m in the air. Current predictions for me on Friday is a pretty high heart rate and a nervous smile.
