&nbsp;Legacy&nbsp;is a charity providing services to Australian&nbsp;families suffering after the injury or death of a spouse or parent, during or after their defence force service. &nbsp;Legacy is a voluntary organisation providing services to around 30,000 beneficiaries of veterans who have died or given their health. &nbsp;Legacy is supported by veterans, servicemen and women, and volunteers drawn from all walks of life. Our support and services extend to include the dependants of members of today's Australian Defence Force who lose their lives or their health as a result of their military service.&nbsp;Legacy is dedicated to enhancing the lives and opportunities of our families through innovative and practical programs aimed at:- the protection of individuals and families basic needs;- advocating for their entitlements, rights and benefits;- assisting families through bereavement; and- helping people thrive, despite their adversity and loss.There are over 3,400 volunteers around Australia who act as mentors to the widows and their families and who ensue Legacy's promise to care for the families of deceased veterans is kept.&nbsp;

Hi all!

I turn 50 this year.  Instead of splashing out on a party, I am walking the Kokoda Track in July as a personal challenge.  I am also using it as an opportunity to raise money for two charities associated with the Track and the Track's wartime history - the Legacy Foundation and the Kokoda Track Foundation.

Legacy supports the families of soldiers who have died or suffered in service.  KTF works with Papuan communities, investing in education and health infrastructure.
