SKIP (Support Kids in Pain) is a not-for-profit organisation who provide free specialist treatment for kids with chronic pain. In Queensland, chronic pain in kids does not receive any government funding. This means SKIP's team of occupational therapists, physios, psychologists, nurses and pain specialists are all volunteers who dedicate their personal time to filling the gap in available treatment for kids in pain.
Our treatment program is also completely free, with no hospital bills passed onto our patients, and we'd like to keep it that way. With greater public awareness and increased funding we could expand our free services to treat more kids. You can help us achieve this goal by joining The Jump for Joy. With your support we can help more of our little patients to run, skip, and jump for joy once more.
What is #TheJumpforJoy?
The Jump for Joy is a social media movement and online petition raising awareness of chronic pain in kids. By supporting The Jump for Joy you'll be helping SKIP to petition the Queensland Government for funding, which we desperately need in order to expand our free services and treat more kids.
So hop to it! Break out the skipping rope and upload a short clip of yourself skipping using #TheJumpforJoy hashtag. It's that easy. And don't forget to tag your friends so they can join The Jump for Joy too. Together we can help to end the suffering for many more kids in pain.
Thank you for your support!
