Australian Gynaecological Cancer Foundation

The Australian Gynaecological Cancer Foundation is a national not-for-profit organisation dedicated to raising funds and commissioning research for improving the prevention, long term survival and quality of life for patients with a gynaecological cancer. The money we raise will enable us to fund (a) badly needed additional research into all forms of gynaecological cancers, including laboratory research which can be translated into improved clinical practice, and (b) activities that raise public awareness of these cancers to a level that matches their seriousness. These cancers cause much suffering and death and the research funding currently available is sadly inadequate. We are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of women with these cancers and the people close to them.

The Australian Gynaecological Cancer Foundation Pty Ltd ABN 17152685295 is incorporated as a public company limited by guarantee and endorsed by the Australian Tax Office as a deductible gift recipient. It is a registered charity with permission to fundraise in all States and Territories. Donations are tax deductible. Our charity work is monitored and regulated by Federal, State and Territory governments, our accounts are audited and our annual reports are available to the public. We are a very competent but financially lean organisation, heavily reliant on highly skilled people who volunteer their time and expertise to help get the work done. We have committed to distributing at least $3 in every $4 we can raise to funding research and awareness raising, with a small and diminishing proportion used for our administration.
