We're a not-for-profit group of dedicated volunteers working to protect Numbats and their habitat. Our mission is all about community awareness and involvement in the conservation of the Numbat - a unique Western Australian mammal and also our state emblem.
Project Numbat Inc promotes and helps with various Numbat Recovery Program objectives including:

fundraising to enable Numbat conservation.
A key aspect of Project Numbat's work is ensuring that we can continue to monitor the populations of Numbats which have been released into the wild. We help with this by funding radio-collars for Numbats which are released annually into areas of habitat managed by the Department of Parks and Wildlife. These collars help determine the survival of the released Numbats by gaining important information on their dispersal in their habitat. We also conduct digging surveys, fund aerial surveys and much, much more.
This year, we're also fundraising for a Giant Numbat to be built as part of a new playground facility at Williams, in the heart of numbat country! Whilst most of our fundraising so far has been spent directly on conservation activities, we believe raising awareness of Numbats is just as important.
