UnitingCare Community is a leading provider of community services in Queensland and we pride ourselves on client-focused care.

As we’re part of the UnitingCare Queensland group of community service organisations, we have a strong values base namely: compassion, justice, respect, working together and leading through learning.

UnitingCare Community is aided by over 2000 staff and approximately 6000 volunteers who help support our community service programs and Lifeline Shops across metropolitan, rural and regional Queensland. Being a state-based organisation, we have the ability to be flexible and agile in our response to community need.

We provide many important services to Queenslanders within key service areas of crisis support, child and family wellbeing and disability support.

Services we provide for children and families include foster care, out of home care, supported accommodation, intervention services as well as child abuse and domestic violence programs. Disability, our largest service, provides respite and family support; services for children and young people; communication support; and emergency support.

We are also part of the national Lifeline Australia network and run 10 Lifeline Centres across Queensland. These centres offer a range of individual and community support programs, for example, the 24-hour 13 11 14 Crisis Counselling Line; suicide bereavement and prevention support, and community recovery.

Our other key offerings are in the areas of inclusion support, childcare, prison ministry and older persons programs such as the Seniors Enquiry Line, Elder Abuse Prevention Unit and Grandparents program.
