HELP BUSH KIDS REACH FOR THEIR STARS

Since 1965, BCEF has supported thousands of economically disadvantaged students living in remote and isolated areas of NSW gain access to educational opportunities and help them toachieve their career goals, crucial for retaining both talent and skills in the bush.

Children in rural areas are heavily disadvantaged due to isolation, and face extreme hardships and financial stress.

BCEF provides three types of support for these young people who are economically disadvantaged and isolated:

• Secondary Rural Boarding Bursaries

• Vocational/TAFE funding

• University Scholarships

We provide support to our remote communities, who are suffering from drought, floods, fire, hardship and isolation. Your help will support young people gain access to educational opportunities.

THANK YOU FROM OUR FAMILIES

"The support from BCEF has been such a huge part of our girls' education experience. Without the support our family would have struggled to keep the girls in boarding and would have decreased their opportunities for education, social skills and their independence."

"Thank you for the previous assistance we have received, it has provided our children the opportunity to thrive, & pursue their interests as well as stability in their education.”

“Our farming business is quite young, and we have been unlucky with the market prices over the last 12-18 months, making it difficult to draw much of an income from the business. Thank you BCEF so much for this support, our family really appreciates the hard work you all do to provide educational opportunities to children like ours.”

“Being at boarding school has given me the opportunity to get to know other people from around the state instead of just the neighbours if I was at home. As I am not sure what I want to do after school I'm staying all the way through to year 12 as then I have more of an option as to what to do after school. I do have a bit of an idea that whatever I do though will be in a trade, agriculture, or the equine area. All the tradies I know say you really need good year 12 subjects and results to be able to do the trade school more easily. Now I am really trying to work on my school and assessment grades.”

“We are still recovering from the flooding and financially are slowly getting ahead. Your support helps immensely not only in a financial sense but also mentally knowing that we can keep Kate boarding, and by reducing the stress within the household.”
