Head and Neck Cancer Australia is Australia's only national charity dedicated to improving the quality of life of everyone affected by Head and Neck Cancer through education and access to support.
We also lead the national effort to raise awareness of Head and Neck Cancer among all Australians and healthcare professionals to increase early diagnosis and encourage prevention.
Head and Neck Cancer Australia provide a centralised hub of comprehensive, evidence-based, easy to understand information from diagnosis to treatment and life after cancer, and we connect patients and carers to each other for support and to the health services they need.
In Australia over 5,100 people are diagnosed with a type of Head and Neck Cancer and more than 17,000 people are living with the side effects of treatment. Treatment for any type of Head and Neck Cancer is complex and can affect a person’s identity unlike any other cancer impacting the ability to eat, speak, drink, swallow and even breathe.
There is NO screening for Head and Neck Cancer. Early detection is key.
Thank you for your support.
