Youngcare is a not-for-profit organisation spearheading powerful and positive change to create a future where every young person has the freedom, dignity and choice to live the lives we all deserve. Right now there are more than 12,000 young Australians with high care needs living in inappropriate housing – places like aged care, hospital rooms and rehabilitation centres – simply because there is nowhere else for them to go.
For the last 18 years, Youngcare with the support of the community such as yourselves have been fighting to make a difference to the lives of young people living in, or at risk of entering, inappropriate housing, but there is still a significant gap in disability housing in Australia.
Youngcare are so thankful for the support of the community which has enabled us to change the lives of young people with high care needs on so many levels.
Youngcare receives no recurrent government funding and we rely on the support of the community and corporates to raise the funds needed to build our premium housing solutions and distribute grants to support young people with high care needs and their families.
