Thank you for helping to raise funds for the Bibbulmun Track

Stretching 1000 kilometres between Perth and Albany, the Bibbulmun Track is Western Australia’s world class walk trail –attracting hikers from around the world and introducing thousands of West Australians to the joys of bushwalking.

The Bibbulmun Track, its 49 campsites and countless bridges, steps, lookouts and other facilities are maintained by around 250 volunteers.

All donations are used to keep this free recreational resource well maintained for future generations to enjoy.

What is the Bibbulmun Track Foundation?

The Bibbulmun Track Foundation provides support for the management and maintenance of the Bibbulmun Track.

The Foundation is an incorporated not-for-profit community based organisation.

Whilst the Department of Parks and Wildlife is the land manager of the Track, the Foundation ensures that the Track remains a long distance walk trail of international significance and quality through community engagement, advocacy and promotion.

What we do:

  • Encourage participation through providing information and running events for all ages and fitness levels.
  • Manage the volunteer maintenance program – around 250 volunteers each ‘own’ a section of the 1000km Bibbulmun Track and report back to the Foundation.
  • Provide walker services such as trip planning, hire gear, maps and guidebooks, comprehensive website with latest track conditions.
  • Advocate for the protection of natural and historical heritage values of the Track.
  • Attract funds and other resources for the upkeep of the Track.

Donations are always put into a special fund for work on the Bibbulmun Track and are never used for administration.
