It’s okay, not to be okay aims to bring the important conversations of mental health, suicide prevention and grief to the community.

We’re reaching out from the Wolfe Strength community as we are hosting a fundraiser for the local charity It’s Okay Not to Be Okay. On Sunday, 19th October 2025, we’ll take on a 12-hour rowing marathon, with multiple teams working together to row for the full day. We’ll also have rowers available for anyone to join in, plus plenty of activities for the kids so the whole family can be involved.

It’s Okay Not to Be Okay was founded in 2016 by three sisters after losing their brother Ben to suicide. This registered charity advocates for mental health, grief support, and suicide prevention by:
	•	Running community events
	•	Providing gift packs for those bereaved by suicide
	•	Creating social media campaigns to raise awareness and improve mental health literacy
	•	Funding counselling sessions
	•	Delivering mental health workshops

Their mission is to reduce stigma, start conversations, and normalise seeking help.

Wayne and Al are 2 blokes that live on the Mornington peninsula and will be taking part in a Tinny Rally at the end of October and have decided to use this opportunity to raise funds for the local charity It’s Okay Not to Be Okay. Mental health is an issue that hits close to home for both of them, and they are passionate about giving back in any way they can. Their goal is simple: if they can help even one person by doing this, then it’s all worth it. Best of all, 100% of the proceeds raised will go directly to supporting the charity and the vital work it does in the community.

In November 2024, and much too soon, we lost a kind, exceptionally talented, and gentle friend, brother, son; Brandon Burt, aka Goth Chxf. 

Brandon's impact on the music community in Sydney was vast and profound - he had the most fierce belief in all of his DJ, producer and musician friends, and uplifted so many of us in such a short time, we felt his passing needed to be honoured in the only fitting way - with a Remembrance Rave.
