Nutrition and Dietetics at The Children's Hospital at Westmead offers a paediatric nutrition and dietetic service, providing:

Inpatient Services

• Nutritional assessment and dietary counselling
• Education on breastfeeding and healthy nutrition for infants, children and adolescents
• Provision of special diets, enteral and infant formulas

Outpatient Services

• Attendance at Allergy, Cystic Fibrosis, Diabetes, Dysphagia, Gastroenterology, IBD, Feeding Clinic, PKU/Metabolic, Retts and Renal Clinics
• A Weight Management Clinic is held weekly in the Department
• A general Dietetic Clinic held each Thursday providing service to the patients of medical practitioners with referring rights to CHW

Resource and Education

• A resource for health professionals and the general public
• Training for nutrition and dietetic students
