This year, for my birthday, I want to do something meaningful to honor my late uncle, who sadly lost his battle with bowel cancer. Bowel cancer is one of the most common cancers, but early detection and research can save countless lives.

I’ve decided to raise money to support bowel cancer Australia in their mission to improve awareness, treatments, and outcomes for those affected by this disease.

Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a real difference. Together, we can help prevent more families from experiencing this loss.

Hi my name is Michael Wilson and I’m 33 years old 

The 12th of April I’ve set myself a goal to run 100km’s around a 400 meter athletics track, this will be equal to 250 laps. 

My goal is to raise money for Bowel Cancer as this is a cause that is near and dear to mine, and so many others hearts. 

After losing my beautiful Aunty Trisha to stage 4 bowel cancer in early 2024, I have felt the push to do what I can, to try to prevent other individuals and family’s to ever have to endure the same pain. 

The survival rate for stage 4 cancer is very low. And I know the pain I put myself through achieving this goal, will never be the same as what somebody battling cancer goes through.

I hope that what I’m doing can help make a difference, and help raise money for Bowel Cancer Australia.
