UBC (Uncle Bobs Club) exists to support children’s health, with a considerable proportion of funds donated annually to the Royal Children’s Hospital, as well as funds to community groups, organisations and individuals. We have members and volunteers all over Victoria assisting us in our cause.
We are an accredited fundraising partner of The Royal Children’s Hospital and have supported the Good Friday Appeal since 1948 with over $18.5million donated to the appeal through our Club.
Since its beginning in 1942, the Club has raised money in many ways, some of which may seem strange - golf and bowls days, chook raffles, hotel jars, bingo, quiz nights, raft races, annual raffles of Easter eggs and Christmas hampers and many carnivals.
Donations of $100 contribute to equipment in hospital wards throughout the state, donations of $50 contribute to individual children with medical needs, donations of $20 contribute to scholarships and fellowships for doctors, nurses and scientists.
