Bondi Surf Bathers Life Saving Club (BSBLSC) is Australia's oldest surf life saving club, proudly serving the Bondi community since 1907. With a mission to save lives, create community, and shape leaders, BSBLSC is a volunteer-led charity built on the values of service, courage, and inclusion.

Operating from iconic Bondi Beach, our volunteers patrol the shoreline every weekend and public holiday during the season, ensuring the safety of millions of beachgoers each year. In 2024/25 alone, our lifesavers performed hundreds of rescues, thousands of preventative actions, and provided essential first aid to those in need.

Beyond the red and yellow flags, BSBLSC is a vibrant community hub. Our Nippers program introduces over 450 local children to surf safety and teamwork each summer, helping to raise the next generation of lifesavers. Our members range in age from 5 to 95, united by a commitment to service and a love for the ocean.

As a registered charity, BSBLSC relies on donations, sponsorships, and community support to sustain our lifesaving services, maintain critical equipment, and ensure access for all. Every dollar helps us stay rescue-ready, build resilience in our community, and preserve this proud tradition for future generations.
