Kids in Philanthropy (KiP) engages, educates and empowers children and their
families, with hands on experiences to help communities in need and make
the world a better place.
KiP’s mission is to grow the culture of giving and change making in Australia.
Through our programs, we aim to build social awareness, develop leadership
skills and empathy, and provide the fundamentals of how to become a
changemaker.
Why Kids in Philanthropy?
-
We want to grow the culture of giving and change-making in
Australia by engaging children and their families in meaningful
opportunities to learn, grow, develop and harness their giving and
doing power.
-
We want to address the significant disadvantage in many
Australian communities that continues to result in increasingly
negative outcomes for families and children in particular.
How do we do it?
-
We create a sense of engagement, ownership & commitment from
children by educating, developing empathy, and igniting a passion
for change-making.
-
KiP workshops and events create a forum where children can come
together & develop relationships and bond with one another.
-
We harness the potential for children to generate ideas & create
actionable outcomes in relation to change-making initiatives.
