Every night across Australia, 1 in 5 children go to bed afraid. Afraid of what they witnessed during the day, afraid that tomorrow will bring more pain or afraid that in the darkness the monsters who take away their innocence will return.

A specialist children's mental health organisation, KidsXpress turns this fear and anxiety into a life full of hope and possibility.

Established in 2005, KidsXpress sought to address the lack of services available to support children who were living with the effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Through the delivery of trauma-focused Expressive Therapy and Education Services, our programs are today leading the way in holistic, early-intervention mental health support for children aged from 4yrs and upwards.

An Australian-first, our innovative and evidence-based program uniquely combines music, art, drama, dance and play into the therapeutic process. For children unable or unwilling to put their thoughts into speech, expression through the healing powers of art, music, movement, or play empowers them to express themselves without the need for words. Our NESA-accredited education services help to build the capacity of teachers and child welfare professionals to better recognise and respond to students impacted by trauma and adversity.

Left unresolved, the impact of ACEs can result in serious life challenges such as relationship difficulties, substance abuse, violence and unemployment, with the financial cost to Australian society totaling $9 billion.
