Imagine being blind…. How will you get to your medical appointments?  do your weekly shopping? manage your correspondence? fill in forms? maintain your house or garden? Blind Welfare provides members assistance with services such as these as well as linking our members to various support services, social support networks, various recreational and leisure support groups, talking books, home visiting etc. Our members also have access to apply for special welfare financial assistance to help make ends meet.
 
Blind Welfare Association of SA is a not-for-profit, non-government organization. We were established in 1937 to provide a range of services to blind and vision impaired persons in South Australia. We have approximately 500 members who through the association can access a range of services.
 
The Blind Welfare Association’s focus is to promote and assist our members in maintaining their independence and individual lifestyles.
The Blind Welfare Association improves blind people’s lives through advocacy, education, transport, financial assistance, accommodation, social support and many other programs that support member’s dignity, independence and quality of life.
