Sock it to Sarcoma! was the vision of Abbie Basson who was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma at the age of 17.

	She was determined to make a difference for those diagnosed with sarcoma by:

			Funding research into sarcoma, a rare and aggressive group of primary bone & soft tissue tumours
	</li>

			Driving community education and awareness around symptoms of sarcoma and early referral to a sarcoma specialist centre, such as the WA State Sarcoma Service.

			Better understanding for people diagnosed with sarcoma and their families through community awareness.
	</li>
	<li>
		
			Supporting gold standard holistic clinical care for people diagnosed with sarcoma and their families.
	</li>
</ul>

	Sock it to Sarcoma! has now invested over $1.6 million into sarcoma research, has a very active support program for people diagnosed with sarcoma and their families and offers professional education and community awareness activities.

Harper's Battle, and we can Fight. A good friend's daughter, Harper, was struck by Metastatic Osteosarcoma in August 2024. No child should have to face this, and I want to help—so I'll be shaving my head 21 st June to raise funds for crucial research and support for kids fighting cancer.

My name’s Patrick, and alongside my mate Oscar, we’re taking on a challenge that’s as brutal as it is meaningful: running 50 kilometres while carrying a log between us.

This isn’t just any 50k — we’re tackling the Three Valleys Ultra on April 6, one of Perth’s toughest trail races. With over 1,700 metres of elevation and rugged, technical terrain, this course will push us to our absolute limits.

But no matter how hard it gets out there, it’s nothing compared to what people with sarcoma go through. This rare and aggressive cancer has personally touched my life — it affected my little brother Mick, who will be cheering us on from home.

We’re doing this to raise both awareness and funds for sarcoma research. The more we can learn, the better we can fight it.
