	The J Waks Cultural Centre Inc. was originally established to meet the needs of Yiddish speakers “south of the Yarra” in the days when the Kadimah was situated in Carlton. This fund promotes Yiddish culture and the arts.</div>

	Today the J. Waks Cultural Centre Inc. operates from 281 Hawthorn Road Caulfield and presents numerous Yiddish oriented cultural events during the year.</div>

	The Centre has a Yiddish Choir under the direction of Tomi Kalinski which performs at many events during the year  and undertakes various cultural projects.</div>

	The Centre has strongly supported Yiddish Sof Vokh Australia from its inception and is proud to do so.</div>
