For thousands of women and children throughout Australia, home is not a place of safety. Every year Women’s Legal Service provides free legal and welfare help to over 4,000 women whose lives are impacted by domestic violence. Our free programs and services offer help in the next steps of an often long and complicated journey away from violence.
The calls for help to Women’s Legal Service are increasing and we have experienced a 40% increase in demand. Helping one more women and her children with access to vital help costs as little as $35.
