he McKellar Centre offers a range of rehabilitation services that enable people to make a dynamic recovery. It is situated on a vibrant community asset with parkland surrounds and incorporates state-of-the-art equipment.
 
The centre, formerly known as Grace McKellar, was initiated by a grant from the McKellar family many years ago.  It has provided health care to people from Geelong and beyond for more than 50 years.  The new Town Square, opened in 2010, is one of the finishing touches to the facility’s multi-million dollar make-over funded by the State government and the Geelong community.
 
The Inpatient Rehabilitation Centre (IRC) has 100 beds and involves rehabilitation service programs for a wide range of conditions, including:
Stroke and other Neuro rehabilitation
Amputee
Trauma - multitrauma, orthopaedic, brain injury and spinal (excluding early spinal cord injury)
Ortho Geriatric
Palliative care
The IRC was opened in April 2005 and represented the first stage of the McKellar Centre development.
 
Specific outpatient clinics are offered at the Community Rehabilitation Centre (CRC) for the following conditions:
Post Polio
Multiple Sclerosis
Falls and Balance
Respiratory
The Community Rehabilitation Centre provides many specialist rehabilitation clinics including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Psychology, Dietetics, Social Work, Orthotics, Prosthetics and Home Rehabilitation programs. The CRC was opened in October 2006 and was part of stage two of the redevelopment.
