Since 1911, this Yiddish-oriented, cultural organization, has contributed to a vibrant and cohesive Jewish community through supporting Jewish culture and talent.

 

The Kadimah library houses the largest Yiddish book collection in the Southern Hemisphere, as well as an extensive range of multimedia, plus unique and precious archival materials.

 

At the core of the Kadimah are its activities: a range of Yiddish reading, study groups and classes that meet weekly, talks by local and overseas experts and cultural performances that highlight Yiddish song, cabaret, comedy, radio, films, and literature.
