Jacaranda Clubhouse is an Empowering Daily Living Skills Program for adults living with mental illness in the Ipswich region. We are an affiliate of Clubhouse International (ICCD) that highlights a strength based work ordered day. This is where our members work side by side with one another and staff to achieve the real work of the Clubhouse.

For many of our members, Jacaranda Clubhouse offers motivation to get out of the house in the morning, opportunities to meet other people and participate in an active and positive work environment.

Clubhouses offer people who have mental illness hope and opportunities to achieve their full human potential.  They provide:

  • A place where people can participate in their own recovery process by working and socializing together in a safe and welcoming environment.
  • A community-based approach that complements available psychiatric treatment.

The personal stories of members and their families and an increasing body of research provide evidence that Clubhouses provide a holistic, inspiring and cost-effective solution for people living with mental illness.
