Together we can address a growing need which is that every Australian diagnosed with lymphoma should have access to the appropriate support; no matter where they live or what their financial situation. It is the number one cancer in young people aged 15-29 years.There are more than 7,400 Australians diagnosed with Lymphoma or CLL each year - that is one person every 2 hours. Many lives will be affected by one new diagnosis and despite Lymphoma being our sixth most common cancer, we don’t even know the cause.Lymphoma Australia is the only national charity dedicated to Lymphoma. Our aim is to reduce the impact of this cancer in the community through advocacy, awareness, education, support and research.We thank you for your support.

In July 2026, our team will undertake the significant challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa and the tallest free‑standing mountain in the world. We are completing this ascent in support of <a href="https://www.lymphoma.org.au/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Lymphoma Australia</a>, an organisation whose work is deeply meaningful to us.Our group of six — Russell Savige, Doug Savige, Will Barber, Grant Myers, Tom Bevan and Olav Sæther will be stepping well beyond our comfort zones to complete this demanding expedition over 8 days.This effort is dedicated to Russell and Doug’s brother, Brad, who was diagnosed with Non‑Hodgkins’s Lymphoma in early 2020 and is now fortunate to be cancer‑free and officially in remission. His journey has been a powerful reminder of the resilience required to face this disease, and it motivates us to contribute to the support of others navigating similar challenges.The climb will involve extremely cold temperatures, high altitude and long days on the mountain. While this will be a considerable physical and mental test, it represents only a fraction of the hardship experienced by individuals and families affected by lymphoma and other cancers.Our goal is to raise awareness, provide support to those doing it tough, and contribute to the vital research and services that Lymphoma Australia delivers.We climb for Brad. We climb for those currently fighting. We climb for survivors. And we climb in hope of a future free from cancer.Every contribution, no matter the size, helps make a meaningful difference.

Lymphoma Australia cannot thank Paul's supporters enough. Your collective advocacy of more than 50 letters to federal and state politicians for Paul and other Mantle cell patients has helped change lives. To date, your combined fundraising efforts have raised more than $35,000 to ensure we can continue to advocate and support lymphoma patients.  

Update as of March 2024 - CAR T-Cell therapy Tecartus is now publicly funded for patients with Mantle Cell Therapy in Australia for patients who have relapsed or are refractory to at least 2 or more lines of therapy! Paul’s Promise is a dedicated legacy from Paul to ensure Australians have the best chance to receive the treatment they need to keep them alive and with their loved ones. 

Paul never gave up in his fight to change the outcomes for other Australians needing CAR T for mantle cell lymphoma. He knew he had missed this opportunity for himself but this beautiful, selfless warrior kept going for others.
