Zip it and nip it in the bud

The photo above is of my niece, Caitlin, shown as an insect with compound vision might see her (courtesy of the Melbourne Museum). She is a happy, healthy, well-adjusted eleven year old. But for some kids, feeling fractured is not so much fun.

Mental health is a huge issue in our society, and one of the best ways to address it is to make sure that kids with problems get the support they need.

I am donating my voice on World Mental Health Day October 10 2013 to turn up the volume on the issue of mental health, and raise funds for the Orygen Youth Health Research Centre. This is a world-leading youth mental health organisation based in Melbourne, Australia.
