On Saturday March 30th at 7:33pm, I received a call that would change my life forever. A compatible match for a heart had become available and it very possible I was going to receive it but this could also be a false start. At this point it was too early to say what the outcome would be but I was going to be air lifted to The Alfred Hospital as soon as possible, Jayd and Mason were booked on the earliest flight Sunday morning. This meant that we would have to pack and prepare for 3+ months in Melbourne in less than 12 hours, this was very stressful because it could all be for nothing hence why we kept it under wraps for as long as we did. I flew out of Launceston with the Tassie air ambulance at 11:00pm on Saturday and Jayd the next morning along with Mason. At 8:39 Sunday the 31st of March I was prepared for the heart transplant surgery and at 9:35 the surgery began. The surgery went for 6 hours with little to no complications. Given that this was technically my 3rd open heart surgery within 8 months it would mean longer recovery higher pain levels and managing the pain more difficult as being woken up much quicker with less time to heal my ribs The next 3 months we will be located in Melbourne for extensive rehab then home to tassie all going well I really hate to ask but with a lease still to pay in Tassie plus the expensively large cost of living in Victoria things will be quite tight I not asking for donations but any little bit will be so helpful and will go strictly to my recovery If you feel you can help please do but if not I totally understand Much love jayd ,mason and Aaron ???? Also sign up today dontate life Take just 2 minutes I hope I can get to chance to thank the donor family one day but understand fully if they don’t ????

Well we are just over 60days post transplant everything is going quite well apart from some wounds taking longer than expected to heal but seem to be healing much quicker now that I have a vac dressing and drain attached which will be Reviewed by the surgeons on Wednesday An see if they can close the wounds Other than that we are going really well Still struggling a little financially with having rent and other cost to pay (power bill just came :( )Back in tassie plus the cost of being here is quickly draining any money we did hav saved if you think you could help us it would be greatly appreciated and make life a little bit less stressful at this crazy time

Hey people today marks 20 days post heart transplant and things are going great now that im out of the hospital im required to stay in Melbourne for 3-4 months to complete my rehab and weekly biopsies to check for any rejection last time i was here we brought our car over for the 5 months which made life so much easier and this time we really require the car here as im not allowed to take public transport (taxi, bus, tram) due to the risk of infection and need to avoid shopping centres at peak times plus if its raining i need to get to the hospital for rehab and appointments we thought that we would be right to use Uber but we have mason with us (4yrs) and they refuse to pick us up as we have no car seat which is understandable and we can't be carrying a car seat around everywhere we go either which is making things a little tricky our biggest issue is we can not really afford to bring the car on the boat as things are already tight with a lease and bills in Tassie to pay plus the expenses of living here too. I really didn't want to be asking for help and feel really crap for asking again ???? but if you think you could help us fund this we would owe you big time even if you can take the car on the boat for us and fly back we can offer a couch for the night for you or possibly get the second room opened in our apartment for the night if its not too much extra $$ Also we hope every one is having a great easter love from us ??????? and what a gift i received best easter ever still blows my mind every second of the day please sign up today to Donate Life it only takes 2 minutes
