Gillespie Group is fundraising for Ronald McDonald House Randwick. Many of you know Michael Zivkovic from his long tenure here in accounting with us at Gillespie Group. John in particular has known Michael for 38 years since 1980 and over that time they have forged both business and friendship together. Tragically, Michael’s daughter Rebecca was diagnosed with cancer in August 2017. Michael’s wife Ruth, and Rebecca have been staying at Ronald McDonald House Randwick since 22 August 2017 while Rebecca undergoes treatment at Sydney Children’s Hospital. They are expected to be there for another 6 months. Unfortunately, like for so many other families this is their new reality, being away from home, family, friends, school & work. Michael has been staying with Rebecca and Ruth during the more arduous treatment times then travelling back to Jerrabomberra managing his work commitments. At Ronald McDonald House Randwick they have met and befriended many families going through similar experiences. Families from regional NSW, SA, and ACT. How we can help. Ronald McDonald House Randwick’s air conditioning is in need of repair and the project is looking to repair the chiller and replace all units in the main house. The project has been given the green light at $77,100, which is quite a competitive quote. Gillespie Group will kick start the fundraiser with $1,000 and is seeking donations for the remaining funds required for this project as a way to help our friend and colleague Michael and his family, give back to the Ronald McDonald House that has helped them and so many other families through such difficult times.
