My name is Jake Matthews, I'm 23 and am from the Northern Beaches of Sydney. I was born with amniotic bands around my right leg which resulted in me losing my foot and ankle, but that hasn't stopped me from achieving many sporting goals.
As soon as i was able to walk independently I was straight on to a surfboard. Every morning before and after school, weekends, holidays, I just couldn't get enough of the ocean.
I have been invited to represent Australia in the first ISA Adaptive World Surfing Championships in La Jolla California in September 2015. I am hoping for your help to raise $18,000 for airfares, accomodation and equipment.
