The Wanderers annual fishing trip is fast approaching and this year Keith McAree will be travelling there by bike. It is approximately 170km and he will complete it over two days. As most of us know the trip is now called 'The Nye Keegan Fishing Classic' in memory of Nye who was a great supporter of both the trip and Wanderers FC. Over the next couple of weeks Keith will be training hard and also raising money which will be donated to Tom & Lesley Keegan and those involved to assist with the setup of a national organisation with a focus on raising awareness of cardiac risk in young people and community heart screenings. Please donate generously and share this event with others.
Young Sudden Cardiac Death (YSCD)(under age 35) is estimated to be between 300 and 500 every year in Australia. In some instances the autopsy doesn’t locate an obvious cause of death. These are called SADS (Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome) and are caused by electrical faults within the heart.
