I am raising funds for the Maternity and Neonatal Intensive Care units in Manipal Hospital located in Pokhara, Nepal.
I am volunteering for a month in July with the doctors and nurses in these wards and am determined to take them some much needed medical supplies. I aim to raise at least $5,000 in order to buy local equipment, such as a foetal heart monitor or neonatal incubator. The Manipal Hospital is severely under-resourced and the local women and children of the region would benefit hugely from extra resources.
I have included a PDF copy of a letter from Antipodeans Abroad validating my fundraising. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to give myself a call (email amelia.arnold@uqconnect.edu.au for my phone number), or please contact my program coordinator on the details provided in the letter.
Please, please, please consider donating to this worthy cause.
I will be keeping a personal blog in the lead up to my departure at the end of June and would love if you want to follow me along the journey: http://theroadtopokhara.tumblr.com/
Well Done Millie!!! I'm sure it will be an amazing experience x
