I'm running in a Marathon (42km) on the 9th of October. It will be my first. With limited training (and a poor diet!) i will need that extra incentive to push me to the finish line. Whilst research and findings about all types of cancer have improved dramatically it is still the leading cause of death in Australia.
if you want to contribute to finding a cure then every hundred dollars can help. just joking, every dollar!
The marathon will be held on a Sunday morning at 7am so whilst you may be tucked up in bed, you can still sleep longer knowing that you have given to a great cause.
My race number is '5697' and you can actually track my run LIVE on the day by visiting melbournemarathon.com.au by typing in my race number.
Also, whoever guesses my running time the closest will recieve a signed photo of myself from the day's event!
