I lost my husband Chris Jeffery to Motor Neurone Disease on April 22, 2014.
MND NSW made it possible for Chris to have considerable quality of life during his illness by loaning us, free of charge, around $80,000 worth of medical equipment.
MND Australia fund MND research that aims to find a cause and cure for this terminal illness.
I am starting an Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness of Motor Neurone Disease and help raise money to allow more high quality equipment to be purchased and loaned to others suffering this disease and to fund research for a cure.
I am challenging the following people:
Lismore City Council Mayor Jenny Dowell
Councillors:
Neil Marks
Gianpiero Battista
Greg Bennett
Simon Clough
Vanessa Ekins
Ray Houston
Graham Meineke
Glenys Ritchie
Mathew Scheibel
Isaac Smith
And our children:
Damien Willis
Grant Sommers
Liza Sommers
Rohan Sommers
Alister Jeffery
Sylvia Jeffery
Sandra Jeffery
They have 48 hours from 11am Wednesday August 20, 2014 to either donate $1000 each to MND in their state, or dump an ice bucket on themselves and post the video link here.
Please join in this event and donate now so that we can see a cure for this disease and help for those affected.
Because I was late doing the challenge I am donating and doing it so others can continue to raise awareness and support for those with MND!
