Kristian was almost killed in an Avalanche in Niseko Japan on 06/02/2013. He was airlifted to the nearest hospital, and is lucky to be alive, thanks to a local fire fighter who arranged a near by helicopter to winch him off the mountain. He has undergone emergency surgery for two broken Femurs and a broken Tibia. Kristians' insurance company won't cover his medical bills as he was in a back country area, that isn't patrolled. UPDATE: With the overwhelming support from the people of Niseko, the Local Bars, and Kristians Friends and Family all over the world we have raised enough money to pay his medical bills in Japan. Today 20/02/2013 Kristian was Flown to Hospital in Melbourne, where his medical care is covered.
Kristian and all his family want to thank everyone for the overwhelming support.
Good to see you home mate. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
