I’ve set myself the huge personal challenge of bicycling across America. At my age of 60, it will take nearly three months and all my physical and mental strength. I want to use the ride to raise money for a cause that is important to me. Operation Smile is a medical charity that provides free surgery to children and young adults in developing countries who suffer from cleft lip or cleft palate and similar facial deformities. The repair operation is relatively simple and inexpensive but the benefit to the patient is lifelong and life changing. Please help this work and show your support for my ride my making a donation on this page.
You can follow my ride across America on my blog at http://aldernath2012.blogspot.com.au/.
Operation Smile Australia, is a private not-for-profit volunteer medical services organisation providing reconstructive surgery and related health care to children and young adults in developing countries.
