Suicide. In most cases, is a result from an unhealthy mental state of mind. Most of the time we aren't even aware that the victim was mentally ill or needed help. We are losing too many good people due to mental illness. Young souls that haven't even begun to live are becoming victims to this killer pandemic. We need to raise awareness and provide the right avenues of help for those in need. Mental health can be maintained with the right preparation and training, just like the body.
If i can train this broken body, then you can train that broken mind!.
On the 23rd Dec I'm going to run 53km to the "G".
This is going to be a massive challenge given the fact that i've never ran long distances before, and my body has, and is riddled with soft tissue injuries.
All monies raised will be donated to the awesome charity, "It's okay, not to be okay". Where the funds will be used to help get this message across the globe and also go towards providing help and support to the families of victims and providing services needed for those suffering from mental illness.
It’s okay, not to be okay was started in 2016 by us 3 grieving sisters who lost our brother Ben to suicide. It’s okay not to be okay is a registered charity that’s mission is to advocate & create change in mental health, grief and suicide prevention.
Donations to our charity are now tax deductible.
