For my Mum

Hi, I’m a 17-year-old daughter and I’m trying to get some support for my mum. Her and my dad broke up after around 16 years together, and we are all facing some struggles during these difficult times. I’m doing this for her as a token of my gratitude for all that she has done for me and my younger sister.
Here’s a quick summary of what happened:

In September last year, my dad left my mum. We were dealing with things okay at first, until my mum started getting a lot of pain in her hip. This quickly progressed into her back, until she couldn’t drive or even walk. She was in and out of the hospital, on many different pain relievers. Eventually, she underwent spinal surgery. Since then, she has been dealing with the sale of the house. We currently are in the process of getting the house ready to put on the market, then will be searching for a new place.

My sister and I also have our own extensive medical histories. Our mum has always put her kids needs before her own, doing whatever she can to ensure that my sister and I have the best chance in life that we possibly can, because she wasn’t so lucky growing up. As a way to repay her kindness and selflessness, I want to gather a little bit of money to help her pay her medical and/or other household bills.
